About Me

My name is Carlos E. Gonzalez, a Cuban artist who has spent the last 15 years in New York City building a career as a professional performer, choreographer, and storyteller. Over the past two decades, I’ve had the privilege of performing around the world in Broadway productions including Gloria Estefan's On Your Feet!, Ivo Van Hove's West Side Story, and most recently Buena Vista Social Club( (Associate Choreographer). Worked on various films including In The Heights, Tick Tick Boom, and Steven Spielberg's West Side Story.

As both an actor and a photographer, I bring a unique perspective to headshots. Having spent years in audition rooms and, more recently, sitting behind the table as part of a Broadway creative team, I've reviewed countless submissions and seen firsthand what makes a headshot stand out. The strongest images aren't just polished—they communicate personality, casting, confidence, and authenticity in a single frame.

At The Artist Way Studio, I create a relaxed, collaborative experience designed specifically for actors and performers. Because I understand the industry from the inside, our session is about more than taking a great photo. We'll talk about your goals, the roles you want to be seen for, and how to create images that feel true to who you are while helping you move your career forward.

My goal is simple: to create headshots that not only look like you on your best day, but that tell your story before you even walk into the room.
